Privacy Policy

Introduction

We respect your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you visit www.aquamondo.design or interact with us in any other way. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how and why we use it, the limited circumstances in which we disclose it, and the choices and rights you have regarding that information.

Information we collect

When you contact us—whether through an online form, email, phone call, or social-media message—we may collect identifiers such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and any design-related details you choose to provide (for example, your property location, budget range, preferred style, or reference photos). If you engage us for a project, we will also collect project-specific data such as site dimensions, construction constraints, and timelines. In addition, we automatically receive certain technical data from your device when you browse the Site, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of each visit; we obtain that information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. If you make or receive a payment through our third-party processors (such as Stripe or Square), we receive a transaction confirmation that may include the last four digits of your card and your billing ZIP code. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children under thirteen; if you believe a child has supplied us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

How we use information

We process your personal information chiefly to provide and improve our services. That includes answering inquiries, scheduling consultations, preparing design proposals, issuing invoices, and sending project updates. We also use the data to analyse Site performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and refine our marketing. Where required by law, we will seek your consent before sending you promotional messages; you may opt out of marketing at any time by following the instructions in those messages or emailing us at info@aquamondo.design. In jurisdictions governed by the EU/UK GDPR, our primary legal bases are contractual necessity, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations; in California and other U.S. states with privacy statutes, our uses qualify as “business purposes” such as providing services, auditing, and security.

Cookies and similar technologies

We place first- and third-party cookies, web beacons, and pixels to remember your preferences, perform analytics through services like Google Analytics, and display interest-based advertising. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies; doing so will not block access to the Site, though certain features may operate less smoothly.

Sharing information

We share personal data only with service providers who need the information to perform functions on our behalf (for example, web-hosting partners, email platforms, customer-relationship-management tools, payment processors, and analytics vendors); with professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, and insurers who are bound by confidentiality duties; and with government authorities or other parties when the law requires us to do so or when disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property. We do not sell your personal information for monetary or equivalent consideration.

International transfers

Because we operate in the United States and use U.S.-based service providers, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed on servers located in the United States. For visitors from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms to protect your data.

Data security

We employ industry-standard safeguards—including HTTPS encryption, firewalls, role-based access controls, and secure off-site backups—to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100 percent secure, but we take reasonable steps to minimise risk.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal or tax obligations, and to resolve disputes. Project-related records are typically stored for seven years unless longer retention is required by applicable law.

Your rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information; to receive a portable copy of it; and to object to certain uses. California residents may also opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising and may request that we limit the use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please email info@aquamondo.design with sufficient detail to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Third-party links

The Site may contain links to external websites or social-media platforms, such as Instagram or Houzz, that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will post the updated Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above; we may also notify you by email if required. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
